Introduction...

During my childhood, I can only recall pleasant memories with my family. Never did my parents expose me to any dreadful things that, in my opinion, shouldn’t be witnessed or heard about by young children. This was because my parents truly cared for me and it was their duty to protect me from the dreadful occurrences in this world.

However, times have changed and it seems that in this day in age negative behavior, such as violence, has been readily exposed to more and more children, and even in some cases become a formality. This consequently effects a number of children’s lives in so many different ways. It also becomes very hard for me to comprehend most of these happenings around the world, especially when you hear about the horrific crimes against children in the news. I feel this image needs to be changed throughout the country and more children are given the opportunity to lead a normal childhood with less violence!
